About Dragonfly Retreat

Dragonfly Retreat is a hand-built, single-storey studio pod on Little Abbey Farm in Pentney, Norfolk. It sits on a working farm overlooking a pond on one side and grazed fields with sheep, cows and chickens on the other. Every pod on site is built to the highest standards with underfloor heating, a king-size bed, robes and slippers included and fuel and power covered in the rent.

Pentney is a quiet Norfolk village between King's Lynn and Swaffham. The area is great for walking, cycling and water skiing at nearby Pentney Lakes. Welney Wash Wetlands is close by for birdwatching. It's peaceful, private and genuinely off the beaten track.

The pod sleeps 2 in a studio layout with a king-size bed, kitchenette with air-fryer and induction hob, sitting area and a shower room with walk-in shower. It can be booked alongside Ref. 1131297 to sleep up to 4.

Castle Rising is under 10 miles away. Sandringham Estate is roughly 9 miles. Oxburgh Hall (National Trust) and Castle Acre Priory are both within easy reach. King's Lynn is the nearest town with shops, restaurants and the Lynn Museum.

We would definitely recommend this to anyone for a relaxing getaway with hot tub on a working farm although you dont really see much of it. Owners are very pleasant, helpful, approachable and easy to speak to always there if needed anything. Farm shop on site where you can get your fresh eggs, jams and chutneys etc. You can also order breakfast the night before that are very reasonable prices and you can either eat it in there restaurant or they will deliver to the pod. Location is good as youre only a drive away from Sandringham, Sheringham, Hunstanton and others. There is a small shop and pub within a mile and a half.

This was a lovely cabin with everything you need.

Had an amazing week at dragonfly retreat. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Everything was there that I needed teacoffeesugar all the essentials and there was a lovely cake that had been made for our arrival. Will definitely be returning. The area was so quiet with lovely views onto the field.

I booked this for my partner's birthday weekend as we wanted somewhere to relax and explore Norfolk. The accomodation is described accurately, however you can't prepare yourself for how good it is just from the listing. It is an amazingly comfortable cabin with everything you need for a break away. The underfloor heating ensured we were nice and cosy and the hot tub is amazing, even in colder weather! Immaculately clean and feels brand new. I would love to return in the summer to make use of the BBQoutdoor seating more.

Wonderful stay , lovely hosts . Fresh baked scones and cakes on arrival . Breakfast at the farmhouse was exceptional. It was my partners birthday and she got to tick off a bucket list item when she fed a lamb.

Had a great stay. Accommodation clean, with all facilities we needed. Hot tub was perfect. Everyone we met around the working farm were most hospitable. Maybe a little more signage for visitors especially on arrival, as it was not absolutely clear where to go through the farm to park the first time we drove in.

I was skeptical at first, this place has only 5 star reviews. We decided to give it a go and honestly it was one of the most relaxing experiences I had in years. The cabin was incredibly nice, well curated, cozy and warm. The hot tab was absolutely incredible, we spent so much time in it, looking at the sunset and enjoying evenings. The only negative note is that nearby there is a RAF airport, and every once in a while we could hear loud noises, but they never really disrupted our relaxation. We'll be back soon!

Absolutely amazing! We were blown away on arrival. Great communication from the owner, everything in the listing was perfectly accurate. Fantastic break, would highly recommend.

Inside dragonfly was perfect, the photo of property needs updating as pond and trees are very overgrown but didn't effect are stay at this time of year but would have been a bit disappointing in the summer.

My husband and I loved our stay at the Dragon Fly. The host and his wife treated us like family! We were greeted with delicious baked goods, homemade jam and sausage rolls upon arrival. Our pod was very clean, comfortable and contained everything we needed during our stay. We loved sitting in the hot tub and watching the cows and calves interact, while the herd moved around the field grazing. Totally relaxing environment! Thank you for a great stay!

We had a lovely relaxing 4 nights stay. Loved the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Lovely fresh flowers full size Victoria sandwich cake scones butter milk etc as a welcome gift nice touch. Good advice from owners on where to have Sunday lunch. Lots to do nearby Excellent everything we needed.

We stayed for two nights and had the best time I couldn't recommend it enough! The attention to detail, cleanliness and welcome package including a homemade cake, jam and flowers made the stay even more enjoyable. The hot tub was perfect for stargazing and extremely relaxing.

Fantastic value lovely location welcome pack unbelievable chocolate cakes fresh scones milk butter and teacoffe sugar some really nice touches very well equipped will definitely be coming back . 2 minor faults was as your on a working farm there are flies so a fly zapper in the lodge would of been great to keep them at bay and the other thing would be some storage boxes under the bed for your clothes.

Very clean and well equipped. The welcome cakes were a lovely touch and we enjoyed them muchly. We also made us of the BnB's breakfast facilities. Perfect for relaxing and taking some time out, very peaceful surroundings. We would definitely return.

Lovely little cabin. Ben the property owner was kind. Lots of farm animals to interact with and watching the sunrise was the best. Get's a little hot at night so I'd suggest bringing a fan. Other than that it was fantastic

A really lovely break away from hustle and bustle of life. We could relax and take in farming life while appreciating wildlife and the animals around us, especially two hand reared lambs who were local residence and very friendly. Destination was very central to both kings Lyn and Swatham so great location too. The hot tub was a great addition and was also well maintained. Thank you to Diane and Ben who left a delicious handmade cake on our arrival along with scones, after a long travel up was perfect addition to a cup of tea. Truly relaxing experience.
