About 18 Pakefield Road

18 Pakefield Road is an elegant Victorian townhouse located in the delightful coastal retreat of Pakefield on the outskirts of Lowestoft, Suffolk. Just moments from the beach, this welcoming townhouse offers unrestricted roadside parking and invites families, friends, and two well-behaved pets for a memorable seaside escape. The property has been beautifully renovated to retain and restore the original features whilst combining modern touches throughout. Set across three floors, the ground-floor, decorated with original stripped floorboards, features a spacious sitting room/dining room with a gas-fuelled wood-burning effect stove, a feature marble fireplace, and a large Smart TV, while you can admire the window-framed views of Kensington Gardens and the sea. Also on the ground floor is a stylish mid-century dining room, a well-equipped galley-style kitchen with a Bluetooth speaker, a utility area, and a bathroom perfectly located for washing off those sandy toes after a day enjoying the local beach. Two bedrooms and a family bathroom are spread out across the first floor, with two further bedrooms and a shower room on the second floor. Ascend the stripped pine stairs to the first floor, where you'll find a spacious king-size bed, equipped with a TV for those lazy lie-ins, and a modern bunk room waiting to catch your tired head, both serviced by a fully tiled family bathroom. The top floor hosts a further double and twin bedroom, along with a handy shower room. When the sun lingers, sizzle your supper on the barbecue to enjoy some alfresco dining in the enclosed courtyard while your pups play safely beside you. Within walking distance, there is a lot to enjoy. Stroll over to Kensington Gardens to challenge your loved ones to games of tennis, bowls, and boating, then enjoy the plants at the Tea Rooms. Visit an array of local pubs, walk along the stunning Blue Flag beach while sipping your morning coffee, then head into Lowestoft, going past Claremont Pier, putting green, and onto the pavilion, which often has ‘live’ events. At the beach, try out water sports, swim, and sunbathe. Peruse the local businesses and eateries of Kirkley. Just along the coast to the south are the renowned coastal villages of Southwold, Aldeburgh, and the eccentric Thorpeness. You could also enjoy the Nature Reserve at Minsmere and Dunwich Heath. To the north are the seaside town of Great Yarmouth, the lovely, cathedral city of Norwich, and many excellent Norfolk beaches. Access to the Norfolk Broads is very close by at Oulton Broad. Suffolk is also known for its Tudor villages and market towns with half-timbered pink houses and stunning churches. There are castles at Framingham and Orton, as well as stately homes at Somerleyton and Ickworth. Why not head for the thrills of Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park and Africa Alive Zoological Reserve? There is also a selection of museums within easy reach, including East Anglia Transport Museum, Lowestoft Museum, Beccles & District Museum, and the ‘100th Bomb Group Memorial' museum at Thorpe Abbotts (Masters of the Air). If you want to leave the car, there is a bus stop just over the road or the train station within a short walk, which can take you to the delights of Suffolk. There is something for everyone with a stay at 18 Pakefield Road.
