We loved the location of the property - right on the coast with direct access to the beach and the scenic coastal path. Waking up to views of the sea and the beach was really specialand there's a cosy little garden with furniture perfect for sunny days. Just a ten-minute stroll along the shoreline takes you to a charming cafe and the Sailors Rest pub, which serves food all day. If you fancy a treat, there's a local chip shop with great fish and chips too. For nature lovers, there's a reserve at the end of the beachand exploring nearby towns and villages is easy if you have a car. Coastal towns are absolutely lovely and worth a visit. The property itself could do with a bit of updating - it's a little tired in places and could be cleaner. The seating arrangement was a bit odd, with not enough relaxing chairs for everyone, though there was plenty of dining space. On the plus side, everything we needed was there: plenty of pots, pans, crockeryand some thoughtful touches like a welcome pack and toiletries. We stayed in Mayand it was great to know that Kessingland beach is open all year round for dogs, which was perfect for us and our pooch. Overall, a lovely stay with a few minor improvements needed!

It's a great spot for exploring Southwold and Lowestoft, plus plenty of good fish & chips nearby. Perfect for catching up with friendsand our dog was super happy too! We'd definitely come back.
