Twoo Hoots in Holt,

Such a lovely house. A very comfortable stay. Cant fault anything! The fridge is surprisingly spacious for a small fridge. Just meant we shopped in the local butchers for a couple of days at a time rather than done a big shop. We were lucky enough to be staying when holt market was on, was lovely to be able to walk down and explore.

I would like to say that the location and the off street parking were a big plus and the private garden was a welcome bonus. The other reason I booked was that when in the property the extended kitchen area was a great area to spend time.The big let downs were that as previous visitors had indicated the oven was not clean. When I warmed up the oven prior to putting in food in it came as a shock that when I opened the oven door there was a cloud of smoke where grease on the inside was heated up.The food that was purchased stayed in the fridge and I took it home on departure.The other issue I had was with the double bed.I had read previous reviews saying how comfortable the bed was but I found that not to be the case.I had 4 night of poor sleep and then i slept for one night on the sofa in the dining area but then came the real shock as when I looked at the mattress it was in a filthy condition and had been flipped over so that I had been sleeping on springs.The side with the topper was in an even worse state and more heavily stained. There was no mattress protector provide and therefore I slepted on top of the bed.Must say that I take no pleasure in posting this review but when the basics are missed and the mattress are in such a sorry state people need to be informed. I stayed in the cottage July 5th for 1 week.

Lovely cottage, tastefully decorated and well-equipped. Great location for a 10 minute stroll into the centre of Holt.
