House is in a lovely location alongside the river bank. Everything was clean and tidy and the rooms all had ensuites which for a big party of guests was great. The outside space was good despite being separated into 2 sections. Having the bar still there made the accommodation feel extra special and the pool table kept the teenagers entertained.

The Anchor was situated in an area that was ideal for our family holiday that had an age range of 17-80 years with loads of activities and places of interest within easy reach. Fishing, walking, bird watching, canoeing on the doorstep and inside the 650 year old property there was a range of modern tech, games room, cinema room, hot tub, outside garden, roof terrace, BBQ, trampoline, and table tennis, etc. etc. The building was quirky but interesting with a large well appointed and equipped kitchen for eating. Locally there was an excellent farm shop, supermarket, fish and chips as well as an excellent Indian restaurant.

The accomodation was just perfect for our family holiday. It was a beautiful location with so much to do for the children. There were so many seating areas we often lost each other. The children enjoyed the vast amount of play equipment including the pool table, trampoline and cinema room. The adults enjoyed the hot tub and reading books on the roof terrace. Having the bar area was an added bonus, we felt like we were in our very own pub!! The dogs enjoyed the gardens and walks. The bedrooms were lovely with comfy beds and coffee machines! There are walks all around the property and we were close enough to town for shopping. Che, the owner, was lovely and easy to contact, he couldn't have been more helpful. Can't recommend enough, thank you and we would love to stay again!
