The characterful brick and flint railway cottage has been lovingly transformed into a cosy holiday home, full of homely touches and creature comforts. The main living area is open plan, with a cute kitchen area to rustle up delicious dinners for two which you can enjoy together at the table in the garden room (where you’ll also find a sofa bed – the perfect spot to curl up with a good book). Just off the kitchen area is an inviting lounge, with comfortable seating to snuggle up on to watch the TV/DVD. When it’s time for bed, head upstairs to the pretty king-size bedroom. A refreshing shower room completes the accommodation. On a summer’s evening, sip a sundowner at the bistro set in the enclosed patio garden. Wymondham is an ancient market town full of historic buildings and fascinating architecture. The town hosts regular markets in its Market Square, where you can pick up delicious local produce and handmade gifts. Be sure to visit the atmospheric ruins of the 12th-century abbey, which overlook the town. Also, from Wymondham Abbey railway station you can board the steam trains of the Mid-Norfolk Railway. Further afield, enjoy day trips to the picture-postcard towns and village of the Southern Broads, or spend the day exploring the cathedral city of Norwich (13 miles).
