The Pheasant is a handcrafted shepherd's hut in rural South Norfolk, built in 2020 by the owner's husband a time-served craftsman. It sits in a private position overlooking open farmland near Great Ellingham. The bespoke interior includes underfloor heating, a Sealy pocket sprung king-size bed and a walk-in power shower. Julie and Peter are your hosts and guests consistently praise them for being warm without being intrusive.
This is proper countryside. The hut sits in a dark sky area stargazing here is excellent. Deer, hares and over 10 bird species visit regularly. The private wood-fired Japanese Ofuro hot tub sits under a canopy of trees on the decking with logs and aroma crystals included.
